The Opinion’s Opinion
(a short story on an opinion’s opinion from an opinion’s perspective)

There once was an opinion who lived quite the life. This opinion you see, knew quite a lot. He understood how a life should be lived and how it should be taught. This opinion had schedules, and statistics galore. He studied and observed, researched it all. He asked every question there is. His Opinion was that the truth should be told.
Then one day, while walking confidently down the right side of the street, this Opinion met another one, a second Opinion. Yes, an Opinion Number Two.
They looked at each other with critical eyes, and began to observe, one at a time.
Each Opinion had a bag slung firmly over each back. Keepers of important pieces of opinion and fact. Then they began to do what Opinions do best.
The Opinions pointed out every detail at last. The hats that they wore and what shoes that were best. Then one finally exclaimed,
“Have you ever lived my life or actually lived in my shoes? Maybe if you did you would know what is true!’
As the opinions debated and squacked, the bags that they held fell and broke apart . Their opinions of which bag would hold up or be best went out the window as they stared down at the mess.
Both looked at each other aghast.
Then, each without a sound leaned over to pick up the others’ off the ground..
Opinions can stand by their way for as long as they’d like, but when it comes down to life, acting in kindness will trump haughty thoughts any day.
So when you think your opinion matters most, check yourself, and look around.
You may find that your opinion is small in compare to the love that one gives through kindness that’s shared .
